Pre-Dawn Pickup & Nile Crossing Your adventure begins before dawn (typically between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM, depending on the season). You will be picked up from your hotel or cruise ship in Luxor and transferred to the Nile bank. Here, you will board a motorboat to cross to the West Bank. Enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee and a light snackbox on the boat as the anticipation builds and the first light of day begins to appear.

The Launch Site Upon reaching the West Bank, a short drive takes you to the balloon launch field. This is a spectacle in itself: watch as the massive balloons are unpacked and inflated by the ground crews, the flames roaring into the envelopes, transforming them into glowing giants against the dark sky. Your pilot will give a comprehensive safety briefing and instructions on the landing position.

The Flight As you gently lift off, the ground falls away. For approximately 45 minutes to an hour (weather dependent), you will float over the West Bank. You will see the waking life of local farmers, the contrast of green fields against yellow desert, and the layout of ancient temples like the Ramesseum and Hatshepsut’s Temple. It is a photographer's dream—make sure your camera is ready for the moment the sun peaks over the horizon.

Landing & Celebration The descent is gradual and controlled. Upon landing (which can be in the desert or near farmlands depending on the wind), the ground crew will assist you out of the basket. To celebrate your flight, you will often receive a commemorative flight certificate signed by your pilot—a souvenir of your bravery and adventure.

Return Transfer With your feet back on solid ground and your memory card full of stunning photos, you will be transferred back to the boat and then to your hotel or cruise ship, arriving in time to enjoy your full breakfast and start your day's sightseeing.
