08:30 AM | Pickup & The Citadel Your guide picks you up from your hotel. We drive to the Citadel of Saladin, a massive fortress built in 1176 AD to protect Cairo from Crusaders.

• The Alabaster Mosque: Visit the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, famous for its pencil-like minarets and soaring dome.

• The Green Mosque: A quick visit to the Mosque of Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad, a masterpiece of Mamluk architecture.

• The View: Take photos from the Citadel terrace, overlooking the entire city.

11:00 AM | Old Cairo (The Religious Complex) We drive to the neighborhood of Mar Girgis (Old Cairo), built around the ruins of the Roman Babylon Fortress.

• The Hanging Church: Named because it is suspended above the gatehouse of the Roman fortress. It contains beautiful ivory-inlaid screens.

• Church of Abu Serga (St. Sergius): Descend into the crypt believed to be the spot where the Holy Family (Jesus, Mary, and Joseph) rested during their flight into Egypt.

• Ben Ezra Synagogue: Explore the oldest Jewish temple in Cairo, famous for the discovery of the "Geniza" documents and traditionally the site where baby Moses was found in the basket.

01:30 PM | Traditional Lunch Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Options often include Koshary (Egypt’s national dish) or mixed grills.

03:00 PM | Khan el-Khalili & Moez Street We head to the heart of Islamic Cairo.

• Moez Street: A walking tour down "the largest open-air museum of Islamic monuments in the world." See medieval schools (Madrasas), hospitals, and palaces.

• The Bazaar: Enter the labyrinth of Khan el-Khalili. Your guide will help you navigate the gold market, spice stalls, and souvenir shops.

• Coffee Break: We stop at the historic El Fishawy Cafe (established 1797) for a mint tea or Arabic coffee.

05:00 PM | Return to Hotel After soaking in the atmosphere, we transfer you back to your hotel.
