The Pre-Dawn Wake-up Your adventure begins in the quiet, cool hours of the early morning (usually between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM). A representative will pick you up from your hotel or cruise ship and transfer you to the Nile. You’ll cross to the West Bank by motorboat, enjoying light refreshments (tea, coffee, and snacks) as the stars begin to fade.

The Inflation Ritual Upon reaching the launch site, the excitement builds. You’ll watch the massive balloons slowly come to life as powerful burners blast fire into the silk envelopes. Once the pilot gives the signal, you’ll climb into the sturdy basket, and with a gentle lift, the ground will fall away.

Floating Over Antiquity As you ascend to heights of up to 1,500 feet, the silence of the morning is broken only by the occasional roar of the burner. You’ll drift with the wind, providing a unique perspective of the Temple of Medinet Habu and the Ramesseum. On clear days, the entire West Bank unfolds beneath you like a giant map of history. The Gentle Landing & Celebration After approximately 45 to 60 minutes in the air, your pilot will guide the balloon to a gentle landing in the desert or a local field. A ground crew will be waiting to assist. Following tradition, you will receive a flight certificate to mark your journey before being driven back to your accommodation in time for your formal breakfast.
