Discover Egypt’s most famous landmarks in a single, comprehensive day trip. This tour contrasts the ancient engineering marvels of the Giza Plateau with the state-of-the-art architecture of the Grand Egyptian Museum Day Tour.
Accompanied by an expert Egyptologist, you will walk in the shadow of the Great Pyramid, come face-to-face with the Sphinx, and explore the world’s largest archaeological museum to see thousands of artifacts, including the legendary Golden Mask of Tutankhamun.
08:00 AM | Pickup & Departure Your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza. Enjoy a comfortable drive to the Giza Plateau while your guide provides a historical introduction to the 4th Dynasty.
09:00 AM | The Great Pyramids of Giza Arrive at the plateau. You will visit:
The Great Pyramid of Khufu: The only surviving wonder of the ancient world.
Pyramids of Khafre & Menkaure: See the majesty of the successor kings.
Optional: You may purchase an extra ticket to enter inside the Great Pyramid (challenging climb, not for the claustrophobic).
10:30 AM | The Panorama & Camel Ride Opportunity We drive to the high desert plateau for the famous "9 Pyramids" panoramic view. This is the best spot for photos.
Note: A short camel ride can be arranged here (optional and subject to extra cost).
11:30 AM | The Great Sphinx & Valley Temple Descend to the foot of the plateau to visit the Valley Temple of King Khafre, a masterpiece of ancient granite architecture. Finally, stand before the Great Sphinx, the legendary guardian with the body of a lion and the head of a king.
01:00 PM | Authentic Egyptian Lunch Relax and enjoy lunch at a quality local restaurant. (Beverages usually charged separately).
02:30 PM | The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) Transfer to the nearby GEM. This massive modern structure is a destination in itself.
The Hanging Obelisk: The first of its kind in the world, greeting you at the entrance.
The Grand Hall: Featuring the colossal statue of Ramses II.
Tutankhamun Galleries: See the complete collection of the Boy King—chariots, jewelry, shrines, and the Golden Mask—displayed together for the first time.
05:00 PM | Return Transfer After a day filled with history, we drive you back to your hotel.
